The White House revealed a meeting between Joe Biden, who is president of the U.S, and Vladimir Putin, a Russian president, in June. It is not “locked in yet.”
The press secretary of the White House, Jon Psaki, explained to all the reporters about all the discussions of the potential meeting. This meeting will be organized in the next month in Europe. In addition to that, it is still at the “staff level about what it might look like, where, the timing, component of an agenda, those are still ongoing.”
Jon Psaki also commented when Joe Biden, who is the president of the U.S, said to the reporters that he is “confident” about the June meeting, which will be done with Putin.
In addition to that, she also mentioned that Joe Biden invites Putin for a bilateral meeting in the third country. It is “because his thinking is that it will be a good step forward in the relationship for de-escalating, for ensuring we have a strong relationship moving forward.”
Moreover, Psaki also adds information about the fourth round of high-level Iran nuclear. It commenced Friday, aiming to bring the US back in the deal with Tehran. In addition to that, she also revealed that the White House thinks “that it has been a good sign that there have been diplomatic engagements over the past several weeks.”
Along with that, it believes that both sides have “a better idea of what we need to do moving forward…to come back into full compliance”. Psaki also mentions releasing the $39 billion of American Rescue Plan funds for states, Tribes, and territories to address the child care crisis because of the COVID-19. These kinds of funds are the major steps for the recovery of a strong economy.
